The European Helio- and Asteroseismology Network (HELAS), which was funded as Coordination Action under the European Union’s Sixth Framework Programme (2006-2010), structured the research community and is still active in coordinating the activities in the areas of helio- and asteroseismology.

Today the consortium consists of 24 partners (22 from Europe and two from USA). Currently, this community is carrying out the project “Exploitation of Space Data for Innovative Helio- and Asteroseismology” (SpaceInn) with the support from EU’s FP7.
